Gee . . something as special as the little Miss Wind F3A Bipe ? . you just have to make allowances ;-) Couldn't stand to pass this one by []

PS . . I have been studying the shot of the 2x2 Wind in the KE promo shot above. I could stand corrected BUT I think that pic is actually the Wind 110E with the canopy "airbrushed" (using photoshop or similar). If I am right, the Wind 2M could be a little way off . . that's a shame.

I am not sure how the Pattern seasons run all over the World, but I assume most countries run competitions based on the calendar year. That being the case, he may not release it until later this year, as most would already be flying planes for 2009, and perhaps not even considering a 2010 plane at this stage . .

Time will tell.

Hi Jeff
I would concur on your deductions. It is rumoured that Seb will be flying two different aircraft at the up coming WC, depending on the schedule. So I would assume it will be the Miss Wind bipe and a n other. I think the Wind S Pro is the A n Other and if i am right we certainly wont see it until after the WC. I also agree that it is a Wind 110 with a bit of Airbrushing in the picture.
As regards timing I also agreee. Most people will have made their plane selection for this year and will be practicing hard. I would be if the Bl**Sted weather would give me a chance.

So we shall indeed wait and see.

Mike

ps One thing that puzzles me is why keep the Little Miss Wind quiet, Seb must know it will sell a bomb.

Well . . I was kindly offered a fly of the WIND 110E by a friend.

It is fantastic ! ! . . Very true and accurate to fly. I would say very much like the Angel 50E except presents better, draws a line better, and feels lighter on the wing. It's a VERY competitive F3A plane, as it's owner won the F3A class in it's maiden competition.

If any one is keen to go 110 size in an electric, this one definitely won't let you down . . AWESOME [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

Cheers, JB

Hahahaha . . we all have to keep "brushing up" ;o) When I said "light on the wing" I mean it feels like a lighter wing loading compared to the Angel 50. It is still around 4kg, so handles wind OK. John held the one of his WIND 110 wings against my INTEGRAL wing, and it's not much smaller, so I think it has plenty of wing area for it's weight.

Jeff,

Good to know you liked it. Mine is finished but just sitting on the workbench.
I had some problems with my 9303 radio and postponed the maiden while the
radio was being repaired. The last couple of weeks I've been flying my practice
airplane just making sure the radio was performing OK and it's no problems so
if the weather doesn't get crazy I should be able to fly it this weekend.
I agree it's a big airplane for a 110 size. Sitting next to my 2 meter OTOP it looks
almost the same size, just a hair smaller, but much lighter.

Hi
It certainly wets the appetite for when he releases its slightly bigger brother. If he ever does.[&o]

Hi
Well as Seb didnt show the Wind S Pro at the Nuremberg toy fiar ( although the small Miss Wind was) I doubt if he will be releasing it anytime soon. My guess is it will make an appearance at the World Champs as this "Other Plane" seb is rumoured to be flying for one of the schedules.
Unless anyone has heard differently.

Very nice. Kinda looks like a 2009 wide body version of the old Atlanta.

Here's a pic. Don't worry, I'm not accusing anyone of copying.... I like the plane. I always liked the Atlanta as well.

Hi
Shame he went composite. I think there is a real market for a reasonably priced well sorted out wood plane also it has my pet hate which is a opaque canopy. Given that the Wind 110 flies extremely well by all accounts and is not that much smaller than the Wind 2m will people be tempted to stump up the extra 1000 ish euro's and additional equipment costs?
As this is the prototype I will wait and see what they say about the production version ibut i do think the normally market savy Seb has missed the target with this one.

My opninion exactly. Though it's an absolute beauty and in this version it's worth the rumoured price, but it's a shame they didn't just slightly enlarge the WindS concept a bit and put it on the market for about 600~800 euro for the airframe without engine/ESC. Should they have done that, they wouldn't have been able to produce them fast enough, is my guess.

WOW . . That is AWESOME ! ! Very nice !

I will be interested to see if they will offer different schemes on it. I am not a big fan of the "sky" blue colour underneath. I have found this difficult to see in certain light conditions with the 110E, causing orientation problems.

Anyway, beautiful plane. I have been a big fan of Seba's designs and I am sure it will fly FANTASTIC.

All we need now is the final bare airframe weight (hopefully less than 2300g), the expected availability and the price.

Cheers, JB

Their website seems to suggest that there will be two color schemes available - white/blue and white/red. In addition, expected availability as stated on the website is September.

Hopefully, the cost will be somewhat reasonable.

I doubt that's the Wind S Pro. As far as I know, the Wind S pro is manufactured in Russia by Oxalis, not by any asian company (not that that matters to me). This might have been an early prototype? Also, it won't be available in that colorscheme, or at least, not at the relase. It's the 'old' Angel scheme. Are you sure the plane in that picture isn't an 'old' Angel?

The new Wind S Pro is already on the Sebart website, including pictures, pricing and availability. It'll be available around october this year.

http://www.sebart.it/F3A.html

Pricing will be around 1200 euro (1500 dollar) for an unpainted version and 1500 euro (2100 dollar) for a painted one.

Though it comes in the same color scheme as the 110, it's a fairly different plane.. the wing and stab are more swept back and also the wing and fuselage shape is different.

This version in the article is produced in China.
They currently prepare to enter to mass production from at the end of this August.

I am keen to know if those wing fences really make a difference ... in a real plane they do it seems.

On indoor pattern planes (f3P) they also do.. on outdoor I have seen one F3A pilot try them and basically remove them immediatly.

I didn't mount them on my 110.
