I've seen Mr. Naruke using a heat gun and pitch meter on APC to get the work done.

Prather used to make a pitch gauge but I understand it is out of production. There is a new one in the works by another company, however. The UC folks use such a gauge a lot.

I have only repitched carbon props. I use hot water, dipping the blade into the water until it is soft enough to barely twist it with a lot of pressure by hand, and put it in the pitch gauge to see what difference I have achieved on that blade. Once you reduce or increase that blade to what pitch you think you want, do the other blade or blades the same way and to the same pitch.

Terry Prather gauges were manufactured off and on through the years and were the standard. Brian Eather and Brad Walker seem to be in partnership on a project to make a new variation of that unit. Here is a link to a thread on a C/L Stunt site that discusses the new pitch gauge.

I believe that all nylon/glass, fibreglass, and carbon props are able to be changed in a similar fashion. I've seen guys use heat guns at the field, I just haven't had the guts or need.
