Default Large pattern plane

Anyone know of a 50cc size pattern ship? That's really the size I'd like to see.

50cc would be awfully hard to get to come in under 5 kg. (11 lbs).

In my mind the closes thing that comes to a pattern plane at 50cc is a GP Reactor 50cc

Or Chip's Vision, if you can find one that is. I had a chance to play with one last year...FUN plane! it's more 3D than pattern, but it does fly pattern decently enough. In that size range, anyway.

The Goldberg Obsession does very well,..not legal in size due to the fuse lenght (a smaller rudder will get it more legal). I flew one in one contest in Masters in 05 or 06 just for the fun of it and it does well. Scott, the guy I am training is now using it as a pattern trainer,...more food for thought.

If you are planning on flying what ever in the lower beginner classes in pattern it dosen't really matter to much,..just get something that works for you and fly. Then work on getting something else, if you desire to stay with it?

Good luck!
