Hello,
I am interested to convert my old 14MZ radio to 2.4MHZ.
1) Is it involved changing the back module only?
2) is there only 1 H/W version out there or should I look for a specific H/W version?
2) Does Software update is required?
Any comments from those of you who made the same will be highly appreciated...
Very best regards

Depending on the age of the transmitter update may be required.
Update is not an issue, it will probably bring new features or tune up to some existing things.
G3 transmitters are area coded. This means that a new 2.4-GHZ module may not work unless it is purchased in same area as the TX.
E.G. US GHz module does not work in European TX's.
Of course you can change the area code but may be illegal and requiers access to service menu.
I have obtained a new 2.4-GHz RF module for my 12Z.
That required a software update. I should have updated TX anyway as it improved usability a little.
After module is setup to work you can have both systems (GHz or MHz) in planes.
Just change the module while TX is turned off and choose the right plane (or chopper etc.) and you can fly.

Thank you Ini,
My TX area is ASIA (Purchased in Singapore). It is compatible with 72band as well as 35MZ band.
I have updated the software about 6 months back so I believe the software is up to date.
Thanks
Amram
