The asking price for the Starcraft Addiction Kit ( all balsa) was 900 dollars- not including shipping.

Yes, the kit price sure went up a lot from the initial price which was $620 (I think, about 3-4 years ago).
Check out the prices of the Naruke kits...

I paid $650 for the Addiction 110 shipped to Dallas. That was almost 4 years ago.

What is he using to cover the model. Seems like he is sealing it with a sanding sealer and then applying silk? Is that right, or is it a lightweigh glass cloth and there is confusion in the translation?

it's either lightweight glass or silk, i don't remember. one of the threads the glass/silk is applied with epoxy resin. probably all of them. system three finishing epoxy was one of the brands.

Hi
So can you get a Kit of the Addiction at all now or have they stop selling it now the Delco are in the game? My understanding is that Delcro were only flogging the Electric version, leaving the IC version to Starcraft in Japan.

Starcraft is out of business. Only the Addiction made by Delro is available. Delro has made some changes to the design. New wing (thinner and shorter cord) and a smaller fin/rudder.

I wonder what was the cause of his paint/finish issues?

The Starcraft website is still operational, have they ceased production of all their kits or are they just selling finished versions? Or have they just left the website up to tantalize...
