Vince,

I think you are right on both ideas....I think we did discuss this many years ago, and it was before KE loops. I am using the vinyl coated Kevlar from ACP, and it has no problem ''weaving'' through the servo arm, but even after radiusing the holes in the arm, the cables still fray with the current planes/schedules - wasn't a problem from 1990 - 2003 <G>.

Regards,

Dave
Dave, Vince,

On every one of my pull-pull set-ups over the past 20 years give or take, I have used Sullivan eyeloops or made my own. The kevlar cable goes around a radius of the wire and just doesn't come in contact with a corner (stress riser). FWIW2U

The Sullivan eyeloops work well but I just love the Kev-Cord Connectors that are available from ACP Composites. Thread your coated kevlar through the fitting, pop a knot in the end, thread onto your 4-40 clevis and you are done! Just terrific - no wear, very simple and rock solid.

So what about Ackerman? I was surprised to hear DaveL use some at the servo end - I was under the impression the pattern guys tried to avoid it.
