We will be hosting the 2010 Jetero Pattern Classic the weekend of June 5/6 and hope to see anyone and everyone who can make it. There is a map to the field and other club info at http://www.jetero.com . The field will be open Friday at 11:00 am for practice.
Trophies 1-5 for Sportsman and 1-3 for all other classes. Power(bring a drop line and a fan), water available on site. A pilots lunch is provided Saturday and there will be concessions available both days.
Come on out and have some fun!

Looks like I'll be there. Haven't flown pattern all school year though.....Think I'm gonna have to do intermediate again.
BTW I'm thinking about bringing my used YS 110S and Hyde mount if anyone is interested in purchasing it. Also thinking about selling my old Venus II. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Well I guess some of you should be showing up at the field any minute now... I'm at work on my lunch break wishing I could be there [&o] but family duty calls. I hope everyone enjoys themselves. Should be a great competitive contest. I'll see you all at Propnuts.
Hey John, if possible please post some scores Saturday nite.

A little more regarding the Smargd incident. A Sportsman pilot, eager to get in a quick practice flight, took off without connecting the ailerons. The airplane had a slow right roll and seemed doomed. Mark and others helped the pilot with input advice so that he kept it in the air while Brett was located. Brett took over and flew a bunch of rolling circles until he figured out the timing to get the thing low over the runway upright and wings level, setting it down smoothly and taxing it back. A very nice job of saving a new competitor's airplane. The pilot had a moment to refuel and connect the ailerons - then was first up (and a bit nervous) and still flew well.

Thanks to all the Jetero Crew for a great contest and Leslie Hochhalter for the fastest score turnaround west of the Mississippi!
I have an iphone video of Brett's landing which I will post as soon as I figure out how to get it from my iphone to this website.

Thanks to all the pilots for coming out and flying this weekend. We had some great flying and competitive classes. I had a lot of help from the membership at Jetero and all the thanks should go to them for actually making it all work. I dont think I have ever personally witnessed anything like the amazing flying that took place early that moring. Brett has never ceased to amaze me but Shawn actually did a great job of just keeping it in the air. I can honestly say that if it had been me at the sticks Brett would never had a chance to fly that plane! Hopefully the results show up on screen here. (I allegedly uploaded a .pdf)
See ya'll in Crosby!!

I wasn't there , but I can't wait to see the video.....Great job and judgement exercised by the original pilot, it doesn't surprise me that Brett did that, I've got to see him fly a few times and he is one awesome FAI pilot....great flying -great save!
