The quality of the kit, wood and preshaped peaces does justify the higher price tag. That’s my opinion anyway.

I have heard many complaints about the cost of these, and other Japanese kits, by people who have never seen or built one. But, everyone who has ever had a chance to actually put one together makes the same statement you have. You get what you pay for.

I am starting to think about electric after Jason Shulmans Rhapsody at the worlds. I thought this kit would be an ideal project that wouldn't break the bank. Has anyone any ideas on suitable motors etc.

So where do you get the landing gear and wheel pants from? What are the rest of you using? I didn't realize they were not included until last night.

Thanks!

It didn't come with the gear? Hmmm, sounds like they may have shorted you on your kit since they are clearly shown in the marketing photos. Does it appear that there is a model number of any kind next to the gear as depicted on the plan? I have two MK kits in my closet right now. Though both are intended for use with retracts, they both came with nice tail wheels. I would have thought a fixed gear model would come with the main gear.

You might want to check with the store you bought your kit from. If they don't have it, Hobby Net Japan has the MK Mighty Gear M Type (48-63) listed for $23.00. I think I would try to find out if the M Type is what's right for your kit before placing the order though. An email to Hobby Net Japan should get you an answer pretty quickly.

John,

I got it from Singapore Hobby, so I'll email Frederick and find out what the real deal is. I asked for the correct 270cc fuel tank, but he said nothing about needing gear and such.

Frederick is a really easy guy to deal with, but he only ships what you specifically order. I screwed up on my last order with him and he shipped exactly what I put on the sheet. Anyone need an MK vibration isolating beam type engine mount to go with their Synergy? I have two and only need one. :)

the trailing edge, it is the only difficult part , because there small ribs , and it is very difficult to get the perfect alignement , the besr thing to to is to use the side and position it on the wing to get a perfect fit

Looking good! Makes me want to send an order to Singapore Hobbies. I'm personally not a fan of the elevator bell crank setups though they are smooth. Too many connections that could cause problems later on. Especially since one is not accessable after the model is built. I am interested in your fuse jig though. Care to enlighten the rest of us on it's construction?

Thanks!
John

Hello guys. I'm new in the forum and i'm really glad to have found it.

the motor mount # mk 1311
Well here is my question: Is it a soft mount ? I cannot recognise it so well from the picture. Thanks in advance

Oliver
