Mk Synergy 63 Kit
#3
I've seen and heard lots of good things about the MK alliance but I've yet to see an MK synergy actually built by anyone, so I'm dying for a picture or two... anyone?

A good frind of mine has built and flown the 63 and it is an awsome little practice plane. The only comment that he has made is that with a YS63 in it it still is a little underpowered...i.e. coming round the top of a square loop it seems to take forever!...OS 91 pumper anybody?
He has just stated to build the Skystar as a result and having seen the kit if I had the money I would buy one now! Beauitiful quality of wood...everything just fits!

This is a light plane and ys63 is a powerhouse , I think a good runnung 63 should have no problem pulling it , maybe your friends YS is not running great

My Synergy arrived yesterday, and I thought it would be appreciated if I posted some pictured of what was in the box..
What you see on the picture below is what you get (including full size plans). All the bits and peaces are die cut. Some of the bits such as the fin and engine mount are pre laminated.
It comes a clear canopy and a glass cowl. There is no hardware, exempt from a wingbolt. Undercarriage is not included.
One thing that surprised me in a positive manner is that the horizontal stab is airfoiled.
The kit is constructed to accept a pipe under the wing.
The quality of the kit, wood and preshaped peaces does justify the higher price tag. That’s my opinion anyway.
