Tried the "contact us" section of their site, but haven't heard anything back. Guess there busy putting out the kits for the Element 30 and Inspire 90. Do they sell direct or do you have to go through a LHS or Horizon, etc.? John

While at the NATS I was told Mark Leseberg was supposed to fly it, but unfortunately he broke his foot I believe right before the NATS and couldn't make it.

I believe Derek Koopowitz, Nsrca President, learned at the IMS show that it will be out soon.. Look for details in an upcoming Kfactor.. At least, that's what he put in his Feb Kfactor article..

The Element 170 will hopefully be available by mid-year. It is undergoing some additional refinements to make it even a better flying plane. Unfortunately the original one that came here last year crashed due to radio interference at a field down in the LA area - someone turned their radio on accidentally - so flight reports on the plane are unavailable - thus delaying the completion of the production run.

I was at a contest with a guy affiliated with them this weekend.. He said August is when they get here. Then they are hand painted here..
There is also the wood 170 version that will be here sooner I believe.. $600 I was told.. We'll see though.. Chris |

I agree. Looking forward to both actually though..
On another note, I own a Mini Inspire and really like it.. I won a Inspire 90 this weekend at the contest raffle.. I opened it last night.. They quality is like no other wood arf I have seen. Covering is very, very nice. No wrinkles.. I put the stab and wings on.. They are straight with each other.. I'm very impressed.. And most of you know how picky I am.. lol :D If the Element wood arf is as nice and light as this Inspire for $600, I will get a few.. Still, I'll wait patiently for a great Fliton quality finish on these... Chris |

Sounds like a scam to me.
Joined in 2004 but only two posts. Contact number doesn't match Fliton USA in California. Fliton's 800 number is out of service. Unbelieveably low price. Only 30 to the USA? Why? I hope I'm wrong but buyer beware! Happy to see that I was wrong. Sorry. |

I know Alex.. I won a kit from him down at a contest a few weeks back.. He fly's with us in D7 and is with Fliton..
It's real.. I got the pics a few days ago from him.. Not sure if the July Kfactor is out, but I have a pic of what I won, plus others that Alex sent me.. He's real and had a huge banner there for the wood Element 170.. Plus he told me I could order the Composite version.. Chris |
