Default Spektrum DSM2 module in 8uaf?

Has anyone tried one of these?
would be ideal if it works to use my 8uaf on some of those backyard planes without buying a new radio. - if it works

Have a look at the ongoing thread entitled FrSky 2.4GHz Conversion for JR on this forum.

Yeah. that's an inexpensive conversion to 2.4  ALTHOUGH, the link I posted for reference is for an
Futaba 8UA module

to
Spektrum DSMX compatibility.    So I can buy an EFlight Beast BNF for example and use my Futaba Radio without spending 300+/- on a new radio.

I will check out that thread though...   to see if the frsky will bind to the E Flight planes

thanks Karol...  good read...  that is an economical way of updating.  There is talk at one of the fields of going to all 2.4.   There are no known issues and I think its ...well....  anyway, effective upgrade of a perfectly good radio.

Thanks for the link   Krayz  ....

i really want to get an eflight beast for flying in the yard after work.   I really hate to buy another radio. I like the ASX3 receiver thats in it as well.

The channel order in the Futaba module based transmitters is different than Spektrum. The genuine Spektrum module changes the channel order within the module so it matches BNF models. Not sure about FRSKY. Hobby King's Orange Spektrum module does not work on BNF as the channel order is not changed.

THANK YOU... that was my question.   THe Frsky got thrown in the mix.   It does seem like a good way to upgrade a radio... but my goal is some of the BNF planes from Eflight to try out.
