Right oh kiddies here is one from the far side.

Are there separate telemetry systems out that that incorporate a small in the model Tx with a ground Rx that could be attached to your normal Tx?

I am still using an old JR 12X on DSMX which does not have telemetry functionality and I really do not wish to change radios at this stage.

I would like some basic telemetry though, engine temp, RPM for example would be handy.

Anything out there?

ok as for the telemetry system the iisi cockpit V2 system looks to be quite good though there are a lot of modules to make a complete system.
One advantage is that I can have a temperature probe for each cylinder and set up threshold alarms.
Will be useful for the break in as I can monitor individual cylinder head temps in real time.

In flight I can set an over speed alarm to trigger via a voice or vibration alert that I am over RPM on the engine.

- Cockpit V2
- TXG2 (transmitter)
- EXP-US4 (RPM will go direct from the IGN module RPM output via resistor)
- 3 x TS300 (temperature sensor) can have 1 probe for each cylinder and program the cockpit V2 for alarms etc
- EXP-GPS2 for speed & altitude plus a host of other functions
- BM2 dual Rx battery monitoring
