Futaba is the most popular in our club.

Hitec comes in a close second, because of the compatibility.

Default Most popular Radio at your Field?

I belong to three clubs, and Futaba is most popular at them all.

Default Futaba

Yep, I think Futaba has the market share..

We have many futabas, then are the JRs.. Not really anything else after that. Maybe the odd Hitec...

Appx 50% Futaba, 25% Hitech, 20% JR, 5% Airtronics. There are a couple of people using the Tower radios... but they are just relabeled Futaba, so that's where I've included them.

Since each manufacturer above (and a copule of others..) makes decent equipment... whatever you started with will tend to be what you stick with.

If all the local shop had was one brand, everyone at the field used that brand when the hobby shop was the primary source of kits, equipment and ADVICE... Now, since a large percentage of stuff gets mail ordered, you'll find more than one brand R/C system showing up at most fields.

I would say ours is in 1/3rds. 1/3 JR--1/3 Futaba--1/3 other brands. But the guy we mostly buy from now has
Futaba sponsering his son so the tide will turn some.

Futaba is the most popular at my field. JR pulls a close second. I haven't seen anyother ones.

Our club is split between Futaba and JR. One member has an Airtronics and I have the only Hitecs. Although I am in the process of switching to all Futaba.

Futaba is Number one with JR in second, Hitec and Airtroncs are very minor. Most pattern Pilots use the
Futaba 9Z
