5 cell reciever pack
I have an extra reciever pack from one of my Nitro cars.. I was wondering if it would cause any probles if I used the 5cell, 1100mah NiMH pack in my slowpoke. I had to use alot of extra weight to get the cg of the slowpoke so carrieing an extra cell is not a concern as far as weight goes. I was just wondering if the extra 1.2v would cause any damage to my receiver? It doesn't hurt my Cars receiver... What do you think? ....

RE: 5 cell reciever pack
Depends on the servo, but a 5 cell pack fresh off of charge will have a voltage over 7 volts, the electronics in a servo aren't able to cope with this voltage, so they twitter for a bit till the voltage drops down to the nominal 6 volts. If it bothers you, get a regulator.

Mine always jitter after a fresh charge. By the time the engine warms up and I taxi out, it is smooth. It doesn't take long to get teh voltage to drop and become stable.

RE: 5 cell reciever pack
I gave it a full charge, and hooked it up to my plane.... No glitching... Anyway why would it cause glitching on a an airplane receiver, and not a car receiver? Just... Curiouse..Thanks
