Does anyone know a source for stiffer transmitter stick springs?
I need them for a Futaba 8UAFS.

Default Springs

I tried adjusting the stock springs and still not enough. Drove to Pensacola, Fla., and waited while the guys at Radio South installed custom stiffer springs in my 8UAPS and 5 other Txs I brought for other local guys. Send them your Tx and you will be happy and its not much money. I think it was about $20 per Tx....Lenny

I have adjusted the stock springs as tight as they go. They still aren't tight enough to prevent me from accidentally getting some unwanted aileron movement. The aileron springs are the only ones I need to replace.

Gentlemen,

You can buy the stiffer gimbal springs from Tower Hobbies for only $1.09.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the heads up, BUT:
Tower wants you to back order 9 sets minimum. That would be 27 springs. Plus s/h.
I need someone that has them in stock.

They have the stiffest springs, Futaba heavy springs are little better than stock but not as strong as the Radio South ones.

You can order any qnty you want from Radio South.

Greg,

I ran into this same problem when I tried to order a 9C DSC cable from Tower that was out-of-stock. To place the order, I would have had to buy 3 DSC cables :-(

"Order Pending" means Tower is waiting for a shipment to arrive. When Tower has those springs back in-stock, you will not be forced in having to buy 9 sets of gimbal springs. I don't like this new Tower policy or way of doing business as it can be confusing and frustrating for some customers, including myself, and I don't think it's right. Those gimbal springs are a regularly stocked item ...and therefore the customer shouldn't be penalized by having to buy 9 sets of gimbal springs just because they are currently out-of-stock.

If you or anyone else feel the same way, voice your opinion and maybe AnnMarie will do something about it. I've personally seen her make changes/improvements before, but that was done on another forum (runryder.com), and people really had to come on strong.
