Default Transmitter Stick Extensions?

Where can these be purchased?
I have recently converted to flying with a tray, and now would like to lengthen the sticks further.
(the radio is a Hitec flash 5)

Any help or suggestions?
Thankyou,
Cameron McDonald.

Default sticks

The sticks on the TX can be adjusted. Loosen the knob and unscrew the stick then tighten

You can get these at a company in Birmingham, AL called Madison. DO a search on Google and you should be able to find it.

Thanks for the info, but I am really looking for straight aluminium ones, like many "tray" pilots use.
Similar to the ones that can be seen in this photo-

It looks like they just extended the ones that come with the transmitter. Loosen the jam nut then extend the sticks.

I have already, But that's still not very long, on the Hitec atleast anyway. I guess it may be possible with other manufacturers though.

I wonder if this question would be more suited to the pattern forum?

Here's a few places which sell them on-line:

http://www.btown.com/sheldons/listing/htc08.html
http://www.hoellein.com/websites_neu...u****ub_ex.htm
http://www.majorhobby.com/catalog%20folder/page17.html
http://www.airsailmodels.co.nz/hitec.htm

A few months ago I came across an ad for a company which was selling them in multiple different colors of anodized aluminum, and lengths up to 2 inches (or was it 2.5 inch?). Unfortunately, I didn't write down the company name...

lathe and tap your own.. Tap/die kits for proper thread sizes don't cost much, and a dremel tool is all you need to lathe whatever metal you want to whatever length you want (Just mount the metal carefully) I regularly lathe things in excess of 1 inch with a dremel

I use stand offs used in computer construction. I got them from a used computer parts warehouse in San Jose CA. They screw right on where the existing sticks screw off. Mine are about 2 1/2 inches long.
