Default What Radio should I get?

I just bought a Seamaster .40, with a .61 4 stroke. Going to use the 4 stroke because of noise restrictions on this lake. Now, what Radio do you reccomend I use and what servos? Thanks for any input. Keith

I sure was looking for an educated answer. What brand do you guys like? What throttle servo do I need? An answer that requires some brain cells is a plus. Thanks guys.

Keith,
All Geistware was trying to say is that any of the main brands JR, Futaba, Hitec, Airtronics with their standard servo will work for this plane. I fly a Futaba 6XAS with Hitec universal receivers and 425BB servo's.

Do you want a computer radio or are you trying to stay on a budget with a basic 4 channel?
Best wishes,
John

I run a futaba Skysport 4vf radio with Futaba S3003 servos. Works GREAT! It is a pretty commen 4 channel radio.

I would use the best radio you can afford. It will last a long time. I like the 9C radios the best. If you don't want that much, the new 6X is cheap and a good radio. I have used futaba for almost 30 years and they rock. Haven't found anything I like better yet.

Although I have a Futaba 9C, I don't use it for float flying with my Seamaster! In my area, I fly from a sandy beach and couldn't bear the thought of ruining this radio with sand, dust or water. I use a simple 4 channel narrow band AM radio. Doesn't really matter to me if it gets damaged and I don't feel the need to fly the Seamaster with exotic mixing or other features. The simple 4 channel does the trick.
