Brooklyn is good for me also....but Floyd Bennett Field gets boring after a while no offroad. I did past by there on the 4th and saw some construction going on , but i doubt we'll have access.
btw...i have a Monster GT w LRP .28
Would love to get this thing DIRTY!

Yea I agree, FBF is boring, there isn't anything to jump. I used to have a nice hidden spot in there with a little dirt, grass, pavement and a sand pile to jump. But the sand pile has since been washed away and half FBF is blocked off anyway ever since they opened up Aviator. There is a big baseball field or two if you keep going straight from the entrance, no jumps though. I have two electric trucks BTW.

Hey, we bashed at Carnaisie park about 2 years ago. The back of the park was under construction, so that made for a good bash spot. When i recently when there i didn't go in the back where the construction was takin place....i was in the front where there is a big field with baseball fields...there's a few mounts for jumpin. Its cool, but im open to go somewhere else.
this is how Canarsie Park was during construction...remember the days GOATCRAPP?

congrats on the baby!!! MGT hasn't run in about a year - i've used my lipo cars a bit, but the mgt is still in it's bag :P Did get a nice mini mgt last year, ran it a little to test it out - but haven't given it a good bashing yet.

Yes gotta agree with that one, FBF flatness is boring me. got an xl but cant break this sh|t in for nothing without blowing a plug, think it needs a new carb or needs rebuilding. [:@] Guess I'll be prepping the MGT [&:]

Across the street from FBF is a boat yard which has a lot of gravel/sand to run on but its all flat, and I don't know if we would get kicked out since all you guys run nitro. The owner is a dick. There is also a way to get onto a beach there that runs down to the bridge, but not sure if I would run that close to salt water. I think I once posted in the FBF onroad racer thread on rctech asking if any of those guys ran offroad, and one guy said that people did run offroad in brooklyn, he said to ask the guys at Brooklyn Hobbies.

RE: NEW YORK CITY BASH
interesting...how can we be sure we'll have access to that spot?
I believe the spot Brooklyn Hobbies use to run was at Gravesend Beach..
heres a vid taking a while back when they ran there...

That spot looks cool, is it still available? As to having access to that spot, I have no clue I just found it looking on google maps. That beach you can see on the bottom of that pic also goes all the way around an up Flatbush.
Yea what about trying right on the beach there off Aviation Rd.? We could build jumps and stuff in the sand I guess. I got some paddle tires I have only ever run once.

im not sure if the Gravesend Beach spot is still available....im not even sure where it exactly is.
Im down to bash where ever its fun...bout to go to bk hobbies to get some fuel and glow plugs
If someone can scout out a good spot, that would be great.

RE: NEW YORK CITY BASH
yeah...that in back of BJs off the belt. Its actually a good spot thats pretty empty. I use to run there about 2 years ago...mainly ATV and dirt bikes run back there. Its not gated and there is plenty of space to bash...i wouldnt recomend drive a full size viechile back there. i have a few vids on youtube takin there....ill dig them up and post..think there also in pass post in this topic.
3 things about that spot i didnt like BUT that didnt stop me from bashing there many times
1. During the day its HOT...very open and few spots for shade during the day.
2. The Sand...its very dry beach sand....a pain to walk in and your tires must be up for the task. My stock MGT tires worked well....paddles would have been great.
3. The bugs...before it even starts to get dark the Mosquitos come out in FULL force.
Like i said, these wasnt deal breakers for me, i think its prolly the best unknown spot in bk for offroad bashin
I havent been back there in a while...so i dont know what shape its in...there was even a semi finished track back there that the ATVs use to use.

RE: NEW YORK CITY BASH
I believe that guy had a smaller short course truck (or similar) that didn't do to good back there because it was 2wd and had small tires. 1/8th or bigger with the right tires works best back there because of the sand.
Theres a back alley/street behind BJs where the deliveries go. I parked there, out of the way, and walk to the spot. U can also park in the parking, as close as u can to the street.
Beside the issues i stated, i had a blast there back then....not sure how it is now tho....
