Ran into a problem with the bigger bell. The 20t gear won't fit.... It has a 12mm center but the threads are different. Would it be easier to change the threads on the bell or inside the gear? The losi lst bell does work good with the R40 24t and rs4 19t gears though. I just want more...lol

Got the car broke in with the os 18tz-tx. Night and day difference all the way through. That os was pulling more speed in first gear then the stock engine was in second.

It's a fun car with that trx3.3. I've heard lots of people try to say the 3.3 is crap but it's a great engine for the cost. Definitely better then stock...lol

RE: Official Smartech Thread
yeah, the 3.3 is probably the most common engine in any car, i bet. But that thing pulls well for such a cheap motor. hell, it can even pull a 2WD buggy to about 60.

RE: Official Smartech Thread
Hey guys my brother in law just got a vh-x5. As far as I can tell its the smartech winner or winner pro. Anyways he bent his stub axle pretty bad. I think I found the right part number on the smartech web page but dont see where you order the parts? I think the part number is 11456. I dont know if there is a better smartech page for a US distributer or if somebody like tower carries them or what to do about ordering parts. Are there any cross companies that fit like AE or HPI or something? Or does anyone have a line on a good site to order from. Any info at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

On smartechs web page the car is the smartech 103430 but on his car it says speedmaster vh-x5. As far as I can tell they are the same cars. Also does anyone know if maybe redcat parts cross or something?

It's either a Victory Hawk or D&A. I have the same car. If you do a google search I'm sure at least a couple parts places will show up.

Please HELP!!!
I was given a smartech snap-on rc truck that was broken but slightly used. I need parts. I am not sure what kind of truck it is. Afte doing alittle online research some say it is a magic wheel. When I look at pictures of the magic wheel i notice these diffrences.
1 the tranny is open. you can see both gears.
2. the clutch bell has 2 set of gears on it.
3. there is a chain that drives that drives the axl
This truck was given to my nephew when he bought a tool box from snap on. Then he lost the box it came in before he left for Iraq. I would like to find parts to fix it since he lost his foot with a land mind in Iraq. He said he really got into rc in Iraq. Some of his Army buddys had some big gasers for the sand dunes and he said he got hooked. So parts I need please help tell me where I can get parts.

I have a couple if questions, I am thinking about pre-ordering a Hurricane C5. I have been trying to research this for a while and am having little luck. Can you please answer these questions for me,
1. What is the street price for this vehicle
2. When is the release date.
3. Is there a center diff.
4. Are the diffs sealable and capable of retaining diff fluid.
5. What size tire does it come with and are they foam filled.
6. Is there a 2 speed option in the future.
7. Is is possible or economically feasible to convert a Titan into a Hurricane C5
Thanks in advance for answering my question. Depending on the answers I would like to place my preorder sooner than later.

The Vh-x5 is much the same as the Winner Sport and most of the Smartech parts will fit. I have a crossreferance from the exploded view to the Smartech part numbers on my website

For the magic wheel, we change a new name and new color. Later will have Ford F350(2008 version) car body on it.

RE: Official Smartech Thread
I bought a smartech car a while ago, ran it a few times and didn't quite break the engine in all the way because it wouldn't start anymore. I took all the necessary precautions when breaking the engine in, and I pretty much tried everything to get it to start. Ever since then it has been sitting in my closet. I want to run it again and I'm pretty sure it needs a new engine. Does anybody have any advice for me on what I should do?

RE: Official Smartech Thread
Start by taking the glow plug out and check to make sure it's still lighting up. I found that 9 out of 10 times if the engine won't start a new plug will cure it. If thats good check your fuel adjustment. Should be around 2 1/2-3 turns open. I have one that's a couple years old with the original engine that still runs and starts on first pull but it's getting so worn out I set the fuel needle at 1 1/2-2 turns open. Gets a little hot but runs great. I would try to lean it out a little before i bought a new engine. So check your plug, prime it, lean it out and let it rip....If your planning on getting a better engine anyways might as well use the stock one for learning. My first nitro car I had leaned out so much it ran at 330F. I know it's bad but it ran forever like that and when it did blow up I wasn't out anything because i had a spare sitting here.
