The spit test is a test to show the temperature of the engine. Spit or drop some water on the engine head. If sizzles away as soon as the spit touches the engine, then engine is too hot. If the spit takes a few seconds to sizzle and evaporate, then it is ok.

Hey guys...can I use this starter box with the ntc3 plus? http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...3&I=LXHUC9&P=K
I've got a Duratrax Warhead, I know this starter box works with it, and I'd like to have one that works with both.
many thanks,
ash

That should work. Speaking of starter boxes, for some reason I can't get my box to turn my engine. The starter box is new, fully charged, and I lined it up with the car. It easily turns my old NTC3 but it can't turn my new NTC3. It stalls every time it touches the flywheel. Any suggestions?

The o.s cvr is a really really nice engine i have one and i can baisically keep up with a factory ntc3 with a tz but i have a ton of upgrades on my ntc3.
Get it it is reliable and strong had my for a year not sure of the gallons through it and i can go 65 with no tuning and a crap body. the high speed needle is around four turns out.

yeh i agreee it is proablly the battery are you using a Fail Safe? if not i would recommend getting one you can get them with a voltage protector so when the voltage drops to a certain level it will shut the servo off usally at a preset postion that you set most set it just for a little bit of brake to stop the car when that happens but it is definatlly a good investment ......... mine has saved my car countless times !!!!!

I check all my plugs everything is fine.I'm going to switch over to a hump pack to see if this will help me out.I'm in the process of installing a o.s.18cvr. From what i hear this engine rips cant wait until I'm done.Should i ungrade to a different pipe or leave the stock one in it.
