Default Does anyone else have this problem?

I have an inherent need to modify things. I just got my RS4 3 evo today. I've started working on it and havn't even driven the car, yet. Hopefully I'll get it finished tomorrow and pick up some batteries for her maiden cruise.

Mod list so far:

Aluminum front and rear arms, body posts, bearing steering assembly, and shock towers.
RC-One large fuel filter
Motor Saver Air filter
RD Logics tuned pipe
OFNA micro fail safe
and my 350Z body. This is my first attempt at a body ever(it's almost finished!)

I was simply wondering if I was the only one who has torn down a perfectly good car before they ever drove it. I have a tendacy to do this with everything. My car was used as an example, not to brag. Understand the problem, now?

You should see a doctor about it for sure.

Ok, fine. Good job Nismo, the body is great and your car is very clean. Remember to take lots of pictures before it gets dirty!! Why is your fuel filter the size of a can of soda?

Looks nice. I did the same thing with my Nitro 4 Tec. Make sure to get used to the speed in a very open flat paved surface like a parking lot. You don't want to mess up that pretty body. One more tip of advise, choose your areas to run carefully, if there is even one bump or rock as little as 1/2 inch high, your car will flip about 5-6 times in mid air at 50+mph. Have fun and keep building.

Thanks for the compliments, advice and sarcasm! So far I can't get the car to idle and it hardly starts. I've set it according ot the manual, but no go. The first problem was the large fuel fitler. I had opted for the larger filter, hoping it would act as a sump and provide more line volume, if the need ever arrived. The car just wouldn't fill the filter and it kept getting air bubbles. I bypassed that and it helped, but the car still doesn't idle well at all and it is not consistant.

Thanks again,
John

Try priming it, and if you've already done that, check your idle setting. The hole in your carb should be about 1mm in width when you're not braking or accelerating. Your idle screw to adjust this is the little one near the base of the carb.

BTW: 200th Post!! WOOOO!
