make sure everything on your car is on tight, loose metal parts vibrating can do this, also, how close is the antenna to the engine, and get a radio failsafe

well the antenna is literally an inch away from the engine but my other rc car was like that too and it worked fine the only difference is the upper support peice thing was plastic and there was a plastic housing box for the radio and batteries.

the only shaking metal peice is the brake controll thing that connects to the servo arm and through the loop to pull on the brake pads...

go somewere else like across town or the next town over. It could be that the guy across the street is secretly sending radio transmitions back to his home planet. LOL

Could be interferance from something near by

if you live near large powerlines it can cause interference, just run a failsafe and you should be fine

You have to start by a process of elimination.
Before starting up your motor switch on the receiver ONLY and see whether you get any glitching.
That will eliminate any local interference that might be causing the problem.

If that is fine then get the transmitter ON and the receiver ON as well. Any probs there?
If you ONLY get glitching when the engine is running then its a matter of poor screening from the high frequencies caused by the moving mechanical parts, and that is usually the receiver and antenna. Make sure that the receiver is well fixed with double sided tape and does not vibrate when the engine is running. Check also the crystal, remove it and make sure the sockets are clean.

You should also make sure that the antenna is not cut or being trapped under anything. Avoid coiling extra length from the antenna.

Hope this helps...!!

make sure all your metal to metal parts are tight, also check for a different route for the antenna wire if its near the engine.
