Xray NT1 with Trinity .12 On-Road Draked
What do you think of matching a Team Xray NT1 with a Team Trinity .12 On-Road Draked Edition motor and a Vantage racing pipe? Im looking for a new nitro car and electric car and you might have seen my TC5 post it the electric forum.

sounds great, if u really want performance however, most people will say go with an rb pipe, or a race pipe, i have the vantage pipe, and there was no true gain in power and honestly not much lost either.

I was hoping on a little power gain and a pretty big weight loss. BUt I will probably go with an RB pipe then. Do you think I should go for a Novarossi?
Thanks,

The only thing you gain with the vantage is rigidity and strength, they are very average in terms of performance. Novarossi and RB pipes are based on the same designs. Get any real competition pipe and you'll be set. I run an RB pipe with my RB MatrixR engine on my NT1. It's always best to match pipes to engine if you can, but I don't think Trinity make a pipe for that engine.

So Novarossi or Trinity. It souds like you guys say the Trinity is better. The Trinity is claimed to provide more power. And yes I do plan on racing this beast. Please give some pipe recommendations.
Thanks Again,

If Trinity does make a pipe for that engine (sounds like you know of one from your above post) then that's the way to go. Match pipes and engines. If you want to be more specific and go for a NR or RB pipe, then it would help us to know what kind of track you run on, as you need to select a low end pipe or a high end pipe, or perhaps something in the middle.

RE: Xray NT1 with Trinity .12 On-Road Draked
My track is mainly lots of turns and short straights so I was thinking of gearing the NT1 for quick acceleraton and using a low end pipe. Im not sure what ratio I will use yet as I would need to test how low of a ratio I can run to get good speed and acceleration.
