Probably... if you could keep it from totally destroying the transmission, and drivetrain during break-in...
Mine will literally "fly" with the stock engine if it hits a stone, or bump, etc. etc. at 60-70 m.p.h.

same here Proptop when i use to run the truck body, it has too much downforce for high speed running.

A .30 engine could possibly even damage your chasis...also the vibrations will kill your handling and servo precision. Also as the guys above mentioned the transmission gears would be tortured!!!

I have 2 Fusions the second one has a modded .28 Novarossi motor in it and the tranny is holding up fine and so is the radio equipment. Just make sure the surface you run on is clean so you don't get small rocks in your drivetrain.

Rather step on you!! I am 6ft 5inches tall and weigh 275 if I step on it I know I would destroy the tranny.

nitrohead...you are running the stock trans with that much power going through it, and it is holding up? How much time or how much fuel have you run through that Novarossi .28?

I have seen your car, and it is awesome [8D] but it has been extensively modified, correct?
Did you mod the diffs?

About 3 gallons. Yes it is extensively modified, it has pivot ball suspension on it oneway diff in the front K-factory fuel tank and laydown servos. We use leaf blowers to clean off the surface before we run.

Running on a clean surface will make the gears last longer. If you put a big block in you are going to have to alter the tranny's shift points. If you don't it will speed shift to 2nd gear skipping first.

This Fusion with the modded Novarossi .28 accelerates quickly even with the topend speed gearing on it. The tranny is holding up. But on my other Fusion with the modded RB .21 I had to put some heavy duty ball bearing in the rear layshaft mounting housing. The stock bearing just don't seem to be able to hold up.

you should also add some weights to the otherside of the engine, since it weighs so much, right?
