I'm looking into buying either the new Ofna dm-1 rtr or the Kyosho Inferno gt,basically I want to know the pros and cons on both the cars. I read over these forums from time 2 time
and see a lot of good advise.....

Go for the OFNa dm-1 RTR. It has better handling, lighter than the GT and with MUCH carbon fiber on it! The only advantage of the GT is that it has a .28 engine (dm1 has a .21 but .21s has more rpms).

It may do now, I'm sure whatever you have read recently is correct. I always thought it came with a .21 as well, so maybe they've updated it. In any case, that Force .28 is far from special, it will be one of the first parts you chuck in the bin in favour of a better engine. There are many reasonably priced .21 engines that would give it much better performance, think Werks B3 or Thunder Tiger .21. ($200 and $100 respectively).

Not at all, the Thunder Tiger engine I mentioned gives great top end. Another one to consider is the STS .30, SILLY amounts of torque, AND great top end. Not expensive, but it might rip your drivetrain to pieces.

To get the best out ofhte STS you will want to gear up HEAVILY. In other words, get a clutch bell with more teeth, it will tame the crazy power of the engine, and give you incredible top speed. Look for an 18 toother (on the top gear if you have a two speed, but to be honest, with the kind of power the STS .30 has on tap, you don't want or need a 2 speed).
