Default How would my on road handle if...

I have an old cheap Duratrax Street Force. I've been rat bagging it lately, and yesterday I blew the rear diff. I made the rear diff solid (to fix it for good) and I removed the front drive shafts and belts so that it's now only rear wheel drive. Will this thing handle worth a major crap now? Not that I care, I think I'm just going to drag race it. Should it have better acceleration now that it's only a rwd?

It will be quicker in every way as a two wheel drive, you've removed more than 50% of the friction and drag of the drivetrain, however, you are right, it won't handle worth a crap and will probably be very frustrating to drive, spinning out when you gas it no matter how fast you are going.

I haven't driven it yet, but probably will after work today. I would also imagine losing the breaks in the front will create some fun times. We'll see how it goes =)

Yeah...you're prob. right...doing donuts...lots and lots of donuts...yes...drifting???

On-Road cars with one way front axles only have brakes on the rear wheels...so don't let that thought stop ya! (very bad pun intended )

For sure faster when at straignt line. Just avoid wheel spinning. Once I had an MRC touring car RWD and it was VERY uncontrolable while accelerating.
