Did you just placed the break to the front end of the car? Ive never seen that and never thought of it. Can you show closer pics of that please.
Do you just swap the shafts too?

I changed the bigger dogbone cup with the brake shape to the front of the center shaft, then just carried the brake stuff over to the front.
Everything screws right in like it's supposed to be there except I had to grind some material off of the top plate to clear the brake.
Should work just fine, need a longer linkage piece for the brake.
Sorry for the quality, I ran my digital cam over with my buggy!
The pinion is just a 26t and the spur is very small

I tried to do it last night but it will not work out. That plastic piece holding the break bevel on mine is not straight. It's at a 135 degree angle so I would have to find a straight piece. I swapped the break over to the front and the steering servo seems to be on the way and also my shaft did not fit in place even thou I had swapped them.

Finished the linkage for the brake swap and the slide carb, was a little tricky but it's all perfect now!

That looks good. Why not swapping your break/throttle servo around so you can get link for your break.

Then the throttle linkage would be so short I probably couldn't put the spring on it lol.
Came out perfect as pictured

Ok. I did mine and it's coming out good. I went to my LHS and purchases a throttle link set for a savage and it comes with the throttle, break and throttle return spring. Well the break link is long enough. Longer than what you have but not too long, just perfect to be able to use 1in of fuel tube.
Now what I have to do is cut the carbon fibber off. I also had to move my servo at an angle so the disk break won't cut the wireing from the steering servo.
That small plastic part that I said mines open at a 135 degree angle, well it comes with the straight piece too.
I don't know how you came up with this bit I think that it's a great idea. Some if the rear weight is now moved toward the front.

Yea it works well now.
Glad you got it figured out!
I did it only to fit the big block in there but the weight is a plus.
I just got the exhaust finished I used a savage header it fits perfect with my CVEC drag pipe.

NEED HELP!
Just started racing my RS4 3 Evo+, I'm racing on asphalt. I keep spinning out coming off turns and sometimes during straight ways. My setup is carbon fiber shocks with stock shocks and shock oil. Im running the hpi x-pattern rubber tires (I have nitro shoes coming in 42 front and 40 rear). What can I do to improve handling as far as shock oil, angle of shocks, springs, etc. Please help. Thanks.

Have you locked your front differential? Does your front diff have the lock spring in it?
Mark sure You do hace that spring inside the diff so your wheel can lock a bit more and to improve the locking of your front wheels add diff lock grease.
I'm using 80w shock oil for high speed runs but I normally use 40f 35r I think. Springs are purple front and I think it's pink in rear. Lock at my pictures so you can see the exact colors.

I ran my car today with that front break set up and I thing it gives me a smoother breaking than it did before. It's pretty awesome. Make sure you post up some pics with that BEAST running.

No I havent locked the front differential. Iwill take it apart and see. Should the lock spring come stock with the car or is it a mod. Thanks for the input Iappreciate it. Ive always been a street basher so Idont have real experience in fine tunning the suspension. I will try out your suggestions. The springs you're refereing to are HPImake? Ive checked for HPIpink and havent found it online. Are there any other makes you recommend. How are the Tamiya springs that come in a set of three?

I don't know about tamiya. I would think that some pretty stiff springs are needed because the rs4 3 is a pretty heavy car.

I was testing out the car yesterday this CVEC pipe is a nightmare to tune.
I only got to 84mph before it started sounding weird and boggy and stopped pulling I may just throw a regular tune pipe on but then I need a different body. damn.

Ijust purchased some sway bars. What combination of colors are you guys using. Whats the advantage of having it stiffer on one end compared to the other. Thanks.

I believe that the stiffest should go on the back. So when you take a turn the rear tire doesnt lift up on the air and it's always compressed down onto the road.

In real cars, you want stiff on the front and less stiff in the rear... If you put more stiff in the rear, you will over-steer...

Both sound right to me. I thought by stiffining the rear then the rear of the car will be more planted to the ground especially during turns thus preventing spin outs which is my biggest concern.

Trying out some new taller tires on my ride!
Went to 92mph with the 65mm foams, these are 74mm.
Engine is a modified RB xenon-r 21.
