Also more are starting to come up on the market.  Check Novak's crawler esc's would be a good start.

ah, missed that in the title.

best option there is to open your ESC's case, coat the board with plastic dip(just dont coat the heat sink) and then it will be waterproof.

the only duel motor ESC's i know of, are in the $100 price range.

for snow, you can get away with placing the esc under a piece of plastic or lexan. just keep snow from landing on the top...or where the wires enter the case and you will be fine. since its cold out, you can even put the ESC in a plastic tub if you wanted to since there is no risk of overheating when its 50 degrees outside.

ah yes, the newest version is waterproof.

i have been tempted to test my waterproof xl-5 on my MOA crawler. it was meant to handle the amp draw of a 12t 550 motor. so a pair of 50 turn 540's may not over-tax the ESC. maybe someone else has already tried, i dont know.

very true, but driving in snow and mud you dont need drag brakes. thats great for crawling on rocks, but doesnt help as much in snow/mud.

By far the best ESC for the conditions and adjustability and reliability is:

Holmes Hobbies TorqueMaster BR-XL

[link=http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php?productid=274&cat=2&page=1]Clickity click here for more details and to buy[/link]

The great part of the Holmes ESC is that it is built by Castle Creations and is completely compatible with the Castle Link software.

Quality ESC for everyone!!

Quality info gets you a quality build!! lol
