I have been looking around for some strong sloid axles for my crawler project. I have been looking at some x-factor axles. They look like the best ones I can find for now. Is there any aluminum or steel axles avalible?

They're steel inside...and I'm not going to take them apart for you.
Were you looking for axles that are steel on the outside as well? Traditionally, when someone says axle (at least in the rull scale off road world), they are takling about the inside.

if you want a full metal "axle" in cluding the axle houseing and shafts and gears it would be about 700 to 900 depending where you got them
there is a guy on here who quoted me 799 for a set of shaft driven built to my specifications
metal axles housings are not needed i dont think ant one has ever broken an axle housing and i bet qaxle shafts havent even been broken
sbj

How wide are TLT-1 axles? I'm planning on building an 1/8 scale crawler. Would it be difficult to mount HPI savage shocks to those tlt-1 axles? Would it be difficult to mount savage drive line cups to the pinnion shafts? I have lots of broken drivelines and could weld some up for a custom fit.
I'm kind of a noob to the crawling scene. I own 2 savages, 2 t-maxxes, and one lst, but no crawlers.

Are you lookig for Shaft driven or independent?
Clods are probably the best independant motor axels. They are very beafy. and can easily be used on an 1/8th scale truck.
These are Shaft drien... TXT and twin force axles are larger then the TLT axles and are about the same size as the Clods. TLT axles are great but in my opinion a little small (Narrow) to pull off a nice looking 1/8th scale. I can practially fit my TLT between the wheel base of my clod.
Hope that helps...

Used, Hard to find but I've seen them for around $130
New Clod $200 at tower today!
Plus you get a ton of screws and such and the wheels and tires...

There are many part numbers for the clod axles... It would be more expensive to order them in pieces then the whold truck...
And the only place I know of to get axles alone is e-bay...

If you could get a link or part number that would be cool.

I think I'm going with mad force axles. I may possibly use a .40 four stroke engine for this project. Dose anyone have a link or part number for some mad force axles?

I wouldn't recomend nitro for crawling. Not that it can't be done but because of the SLOW and tecnical nature of crawling, nitro would be a serious pain. You will go through clutches like crazy and likely stahl a lot! Electric is nice because it's much more controlable at really low speed and it also can't stall out on you like nitro will.
Just my thoughts...

as are mine electric is much easyer, i tried a nitro crawler and not only is the cluch a pain but the delay between brake and gas lets you roll back on tough tech sections
just my opinion
it could be done but it is much more work

I woud really like a part number for some mad force axles. Or a link where I can buy kyoso parts. I'm guessing that you cant get the axles complete. So would someone be nice enough to tell me what I need to buy to complete two mad force axles?

Yeah, Ihave seen the manual on tower hobbies, but I would like a little list of the parts I need to complete two mad force axles. To be sure I get all the parts I need at the same time.

I meant on their site not E-Bay. Not to buy the manual but to view it online... I'm not sure if tey have one or not. I know HPI posts all of their manuals in full on their site.

These solid axles I'm trying to find are going to be put on a truck that I'm most likely going to be jumping really high. [sm=lol.gif]
