the TL-01 is a 4wd from tamiya that is mainly a on road car i remember a while back there was a OFF-road version of the car and i can't remember what it was called i saw it in a review in a magazine but i was just browsing in the book store, so i can't even remember what mag it was i think that the most that would be needed is to lengthen the suspension arms and dog bones from the diff's and change the tires /rims it is a tub/tube chassis that would handle the stress but the articulation would be limited i have a kyosho pathfinder that might fit the bill and will look in to moding that but i would like to try to convert the TL-01 to Offroad

lengthen the suspension arms and dogbones.. then go from there.. it would probably make a cool little trials rig

If you're interested, I have a long-arm setup for the TL-01. I have the arms, camber links, uprights, suspension pins, axles, dogbones, friction dampers, oil shocks, steering linkages, servo saver. I used them to make my TL-01 into a truck for a while, but someone bought it as a car & I kept all of the long-arm stuff. I wasn't making a crawler out of it, but I did use 2.2" truck wheels with Masher 2000 tires & long body posts for a truck body. I don't have a TL-01 anymore, so let me know if you're interested in buying/trading for it. I think I still have a set of uncut body posts too, if you need those as well.
I'm not sure on the gearing, but use the smallest pinion that will fit & at least lock the rear diff if not both.

ya it would have to be more trials
i dont think you could fit like a gd-600 gear reduction in there !!!!
but if you could then with the parts listed and a locked up diff it would be pretty good
