Default Crawl over here

Nomadio wants to hear what you crawlers need in a radio.

3 or 4 channels, epa adjustments, proportional 3 rd channel, like the tq3, it to be cheap.

maybe even a 5 or 6 channel for extras like winches. That would also appeal to the tamiya F-350 and tractor trailer crowds since they could have enough channels for shifting too. Also since many crawler guys and scale guys like to add lighting kits, putting in a switch to turn on and off lights would be a good feature. Also the ability for 3rd channel mixing so that you could run 4WS like a crab skuttling or for a tighter turning radius. Also try to make it cheap, you might want to forgo telemetry features. Most crawler guys wouldn't care too much about RPM, speed, motor temp, and battery voltage as those problems are not huge for non competitive crawling.

I think those guys have it right.... I know we would all appreciate a radio that made 4ws easier to use. Honestly, I don't see alot of guys being interested in a higher priced radio as the typical Nomadio, since range and interference are not typical problems for crawlers. I run an M8 w/Spektrum, but that is simply because it is what I use on my other land based RC's... not for any advantage that the 2.4ghz gives.

When I went radio shopping, the number 1 thing I wanted was multi-model memory and as many channels as possible in a pistol grip land based freq.

The ability to run easily a proportional rear steer and/or dig is on top of the list over what is available on most radios.

For my scaler, I am forced to run a DX6 just to have enough channels to run my lights/winch/etc.

i want a controller to have dig so ican lock the rear, or let the rear freewheel, alos to have a channel for rear steer. Might be a little cluttered, but it would be sweet!
