Default What is it?

Ok so I picked up an old chipmonk for cheap. Can anyone tell me something about it? The fuselage and wing are sheeted and doped. The front cowling seems to be unique,I have never seen one attach like this one. The fuselage extends all the way over the engine, the cowl goes under and behind. The cowl is located with two pins at the front and four screws on the sides.
The wing has retracts they fold rearward insead of sideways but do not rotate. There is a fairing of sorts to hide the tires. The wingspan is 76" and fuselage length is 55".I looks to me to be old, maybe 70's/80's.

I appreciate any info you guys can give me

It's a model of Art Schol's SuperChipmunk. It had retracts that swung back into fairings.
That kit has to be 30 years old. Do a YouTube search for more info about Art Schol. He was one of the best stunt pilots to ever fly.
He was doing filming for a movie and was in a flat inverted spin and couldn't recover.
TowerHobbies used to sell those kits back in the 70's &80's

You can also look at a Carl Goldberg kits and you will find a Chipmunk that looks just like yours. Good Luck, Dave

I looked at the Carl Goldberg chipmunks and the cowl is completely different than mine. The Goldberg one is a one piece wrap around style.Mine has the upper half as part of the fuselage and the bottom half is removable. The Goldberg kit also does not have retracts, which may have been added on mine.

Tha Goldberg is only 64" in span too and I think you mentioned this one was 76" Ohio RC used to do several different versions of the Chipmonk but I dont know how the cowl was attached.
