Robert you going to hand stitch again or take the easy way out this time around. I do have one question though, why arn't you scaling you covering down to the scale of your plane, it would be lighter and the shrink factor would be easier on the frame work. I'm picking your brain here trying to get a feel of your thinking. Part of the fun is getting into ones head and guess whats next, at this point I wonder if your having fun too. "Now don't go getting offended", I think you know where I'm coming from.

And in case anyone is wondering, no, I have not started on the recovering yet. I have been to busy on other projects and don't want it to be a come and go affair. Hopefully after vacation I will get back to it.

Okey, that makes sence, I just recall some where you said you were useing the same fabric used on the full size plane, you must have ment the same type of fabric. At any rate a vacation will probably be good to clear the head, hope it's a good one.

Robert, I'm still watching your progress, you're doing good, setbacks are temporary... (someone told me that )
I'm having second thoughts about the AR160 twin in my Cermark, as I was told it could make the Pitts fly like a brick
My Pitts is smaller than yours, and I wanted to ask you if you have a target wing loading in mind for yours (?)
I guess I'll have to do some basic maths. Thanks.

Sorry Vasek I have no numbers in that regard. My only concern at the beginning was to stay under 45lbs which I think it will do, maybe. But all in all I don't worry about total weight.

After posting I went and did some math. Basing the weight on desired target top,
45lbs total weight
2790sq in wing area
I come up with
.25oz per sq inch
or
36oz per sq foot.
I don't know about anyone else but those seem pretty light to me.

Hey Robert, I just saw a YouTube vid and saw a big pitts with the same paint scheme over in the UK I think. I can't for the life of me figure out how to post a link to it, but it's called " Long Marston rc model aircraft show flight line 3. " by tbobborap1. You probably don't care, but I thought I'd let you know.

Last night me and the wife decided to take a break from the property for the week. So! Today I re-cut all the fuse metals and have the stab and ele fabric cut and ready to go for the morning. I won't post much on the recover, just thought I'd give an update.
