What a beautiful plane ace, you`ve outdone yourself,Jacquie will love it I`m sure. WHEN you get a chance, can we get some close ups of the cockpit before Jacquie is put in.??? I`d pose in my swimsuit with it raptureboy.., but people would be running..

Thanks guys, I appreciate the praise.
Grover, I have not even ordered a spinner yet. I know me and I would have went and put it on but I will not be keeping the prop. It will be getting a 3 blade once I fly it and see what the 2 blade does so I have a better idea for the 3 blade. So saving myself some money by waiting.
Uncle, I will take some at a later date, probably just prior to adding Jacquie. The seat and radio is not in it currently, the seat needs a new frame and the radio is out for installation of a gyro. I have not decided for sure yet on the gyro and been to busy to make the seat frame. But all that will be completed over the next month or so. As it sits it is flyable and will do so after the PTA event.

That looks fantastic Ace... the fourth and last image really shows the details... get some more shots when you're at the event, I bet there will be a crowd around it.
Hope you get that in a magazine Ace, it really deserves that lime light !!

well,i do know of a certain chief tech.editor of a popular RC mag who showed alot of interest in the Pitts. His words were " get it maidened and some video and well see what we can do." Biggest hurdle i can see is that your in Fl. and he and the magazine are in Ct. , but im sure he deals with that all of the time. I just hope he really does what he says. Like John said, you deserve it.

Robert it's been a long time coming, it truly is an extraordinary replica of one hell of an airplane. Being proud is a far cry from what you have created, it's pretty remarkable to say the least.
Kudos and all that stuff,

Wow!! Robert...it turned out AMAZING bro!!! I definitely agree on going with a 3 blade prop. You'll have plenty of power with the Valach 170 and more. Just show it off and savor how beautiful it turned out. GREAT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets see now... 619 days, 178 pages, and 4439 posts. Hmmmm... yep that's a lot of time and effort and it all shows. Better get used to all that praise it comes with the territory.

619 days, that's not a long time frame for a project of this magnitude... hell, it took me almost 4 years to complete my cub originally, and there was nothing fancy about it... it did survive with minor damage in the 94 earthquake we had , but that's just making excuses, lol... Ace pushed himself at a fair pace to get it done in just over a year and a half... not bad considering all the detailing that went into it.

Hah...I'm a procrastinator at heart, I'll admit it... but I did have to rebuild the right wing due to books falling off a shelf and smashing the wing... but even if we didn't have the earthquake, it would still have taken at least 3 years , so you would still have me beat

Yeah, I wasn't very pleased either trust me, but it could have been worse, just glad no one was seriously hurt... if I had taken the plane apart instead of leaving it all assembled on the build table, it would have been undamaged.... they were big books too; took out the 1/4 sq spruce spars, all four of them... that was back in the days when you called Sig, you spoke directly to Hazel, and she was so nice to deal with, very kind woman.

There is only one that is perfect and I fall leaps and bounds short of him. Dedication, lol, I just happen to have way more time than money.

well, at least your wing was damaged due to mother nature. I had three wings damaged when my wifes dang cat decided to try and sleep on the topwing of my wing rack. Boy, was i fuming.

Steve at the risk of offending a bunch of viewers, might I say that cat actually taste rather good. But then you would have had wife's iron skillet to dodge.
I ate it over seas and did not find out to the next day what I had hate. No I did not go back ans get more.
Ken
And no offense meant you viewers
