Well "Plains,Trains, and Automobiles" was a blast. Here is a pic of me and the plane, oh, yea, and the first place "Peoples Choice Awards" trophy.

Thanks Steve. I am very happy with the publics response, one never really knows what others will think, but today was a boat load of oooh's and ahhh's with an occasional holy " " thrown in.

Believe me guys, I want to get her flying, but the canopy has to be done first. In order to do the canopy the wings need to be off, in order to do the maiden the wings need to be on with everything holding them on being Loctited. No sense in securing everything just to turn around and remove it, things don't last long doing that either. Soon, my friends, soon.

Thanks everybody! From the response I received today I have to agree with Dan, I don't see it but that is to be expected being the builder, but man the people did. Now to get that bloody canopy done so I can maiden it.

Some time tomorrow I will be starting Jeff's build, I will post a link here for that thread.
By the way Jeff, thanks for letting me use your kit at the event. People really liked seeing what it was before it became what it is.

Your welcome. Its always interesting to see what a kit looks like before all the hard work and determination, not to mention tons of patience. Great job Bud!!

Most of you know I have plans of meeting Jacquie at this years Sun-N-Fun. But as luck would have it, today, I was invited to display the Pitts. Turns out this years Sun-N-Fun is celebrating the Pitts 70th year and I get to be a part of it. Brothers, it just don't get no better. Life is good!

Those that have been a part of this journey know very well my plans more often than not change and those previously mentioned are subject to such. For now I will focus on finishing it up and take what comes as it comes.

Congrats on all fronts Robert, you certainly deserve it. You`ll get more than your "15 mins". out of this plane for sure. As I stated earlier, I had to do the same Color scheme for my Real Flight model TWICE before I was happy with it, so I feel the the same love for this plane as you, thus my interest in your build. It`s BEAUTIFUL...

Congrats Robert! I'm sure there will be other trophies for you and that plane in the future, so I don't think you burned up your 15 minutes yet...The smile on your face says it all my friend...
