Thanks Art, I see how it works. I had started drawing up a 1/4 nieuport 17 and was trying to figure out how to do a scale aileron setup with torque tubes but could not figure out how I wanted to do the hinges. Your solution looks good. I assume the brass tube over the carbon tube is there to keep the carbon tube from wearing down?
Saw the video of Billy's camel by the way. Looks like it flew nicely. Half scale is the new third scale it seems.

Thanks Steve, but I have to disagree with you on this one ...... I am so looking forward to covering it up that I can't stand it ........ Things are taking forever to get to that point - covering time is my favorite part because that means its almost ready to fly!

I have been playing around with the hinging on the ailerons. Hardwood (Maple) bearing blocks epoxied in.........
strap hinges bent to shape........and fitted to the rear spars..........then attached with a 4-40 bold and nut.......not the best job I have done, but I think it is secure and functional.
