Rebel Flyer , That is Pauls since of humor ,......... or may I say LACK of humor towards me ,, if you have a half scale please bring it with you . And no ODP is not invite only , if it was they would have never let me in , I am a Nobody ,,,so I have to TRY OUT my planes before Paul will let me fly in public ! So if you show up at the field and paul is standing there with a buddy box and a cord ready to plug in to your transmitter ,,especially if you have a half scale , then you will find out all about TRY OUT !!!!! Kirk , hope to see you there !

Lee, Doug, Randy thanks for all your hard work and (undoubtedly) headaches. Please add me to your Email list. I'll be there.
I'm really happy that we'll be in the same area as all of the other participants. While 2003 on the front lawn was nice in many ways, back where we've been since then (and not separated) is great news. Pleased to hear that we'll be closer to show center as well.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
There is a lot of joking and cajoling with this Dawn Patrol Group ........we have a great time at all of the various Dawn Patrols.
Before it gets out of hand and misinformation abounds, let's get a few things straight:
1) Try outs are NOT required.
2) In years past, a participants main airframe was required to be "giant scale".........80" monoplane, 60" biplane (or tripe) or true "quarter scale."
Addition models could be any size.
3) It would be great to see a bunch of half scales (I am working on mine and hope to have it flying by Dayton).
4) It would be great to see a bunch of third scale and quarter scale and fifth scale and sixth scale and........well, you get the picture.
5) There are always a lot of park flyers buzzing around before and after official hours of the event........sometimes during the event, too.
6) This event requires some paper work to be completed before the event, to include registration and camping requests. See Lee McDuffey
7) The other Dawn Patrol events - Hoosier Dawn Patrol & Ohio Dawn Patrol - require no special invitations or preregistrations, although preregistration
helps the event directors with planning their event. See Sir Percy & HPA respectively.
8) Modelers with large models (over 55 pounds) please have all required AMA Large Model required documents with you.
9) Lee, you may confirm or deny any or part of this post - actually PLEASE DO!
I now return you to "Thread: Dawn Patrol Rendezvous 2014".....and thank you for your attention.

We can always count on "DAD" to settle down the troops when we get restless.......
The "Dawn Patrol Rendezvous" in Dayton..... IMHO is the best Dawn Patrol show out there.
With full scales flying at every event, there's nothing cooler than wrenching on your plane in the pits and while watching a real DR 1 buzzing over head!
All the dysfunctional R/C pilots across the U.S. in one spot ...just having a good ole time....
The endless supply of history from all the re-enactors , USAF museum, and all kinds of parts ,airframes ,guns that you can view up close and personal.
Hanging out and talking with all the "full scale pilots" at the dinners , movies and flight lines.......is pretty darn cool in my mind!
Also to sum up what "Dad" said (but much shorter version) ODP,HDP and DPR have a lot of the same people and we love to give it and we can take it...
well......Steve .....is a little delicate...so we don't send too much his way......lol.......
