Sorry for being away for a little bit - month end office work and some computer stuff to attend to.
So did I miss anything.

oh, dear

I blame myself here - I'm the one who apparently leaves these guys with unstructured free time on their hands!!!
.
.
Anyhoo.
Most all of you should have received a mass e-mailing I just sent out, with pretty much the same information that's been posted here (excepting all the finer cultural exchanges between some of the Dawn Patrollers . . .). Mostly a chance to check my recently rebuilt mailing list (and based on the number of rejected emails I saw in my inbox, I'm betting it's not done being rebuilted), it also included a list of all R/C Dawn Patrols I've been able to track down (at least here in the U.S. of A.).
Scrambling now to get ready for the Toledo Show - Doug and I will have hard copies of forms and fliers for the event there. Just look for someone with a somewhat glazed look on his face hanging out near the Balsa USA booth - that'll most likely be me!!
'til later,
Lee McDuffee
If you did NOT receive an email from me this evening, and you want to get email updates as I send them, then please let me send me your email address via PM here on RCU.

Doug Cox and I will be in Toledo both Friday and Saturday. Looking forward to catching up with you (and everyone else as well). Also looking forward to seeing your Albi there too!
Lee's homework for tonight is to wade through a ton of failed emails (apparently email addresses are SO not long-lived) and cleaning up my address book, AND resending info as well once I get a corrected address.
Best regards,
Lee McD

Evening, all
So sorry for being away for a while. Been some hectic weeks at work (including an office move), but hopefully I can get back to the real world now.
I owe everyone who's pre-registered so far (something around 17 by last count) a confirming email - Im planning on getting that done over the Memorial Day weekend as I head down to visit with Doug and the troops there. We also have no news from the Museum since our last in-person visit (back in March already!) - I should definitely have some updates, at least informal, after tommorrow as that is when Doug and Randy are meeting with the Museum to review the field layout and such. My own schedule is just messed up enough that it looks like I'll be able to head south as well and join the fun!!
On a different note, I did manage to get my "Dawn Patrols of 2014" list updated up at:
http://www.dawnpatrolrendezvous.com/R_C_Calendar.html
And was really hoping to have already attended an event - the Piqua Upper Valley Fun Flyers May WWI And WWII Memorial Fly In (Piqua, Ohio), but I just wasn't ready (imagine that!).
I AM planning on being at the upcoming IOK Dawn Patrol in North Bend, Ohio, May 23rd and 24th, and with any luck at all I'll have the 1/4 BUSA Sopwith Pup I purchased there last year ready to go (albeit sometime during the event)!
Super nice flying field with a really nice runway, and the club does host a nice event, led by OFB Tony Gronas and Paul Wiley. To get a feel for this event in the very southwestern corner of Ohio, here's a video of Paul Westrich test-flying his infamous Sopwith "McCamel" a couple years ago the evening after the event:

And here's also a link to some photos that club members took of the event last year:

Even if I don't get the Pup done, I'll still be there with Dayton Dawn Patrol registration forms and such. Hopefully I'll get to see some of you there this upcoming Memorial Day weekend.
Best regards,
Lee McDuffee
