Default 1/6 scale turnbuckles

I am building a 1/6 scale Ansaldo SVA5. I plan on using Procter turnbuckles for the control surfaces but would like something smaller, lighter, and cheaper for the flying and landing wires. Any help would be great. Thanks, Allan

Why are you using the turnbuckles on the flying surfaces? Do you need to turnbuckles here (and on the rigging wires) to be functional?

I'm using pull/pull for the controls and have never been very successful w/o turnbuckles so I'm giving it a try. As for the others, mainly for appearance.

With pull-pull systems I prefer to put the "adjustability" on the inside, simply by using a standard clevis on the servo arm. That way I can tighten things up and keep the outside looking scale. You might get some ideas from this short build video I made (of a very unscale Flair Puppeteer).
