Default Flying Wire Idea

I took the advice of the Model Airplane News Article and went to the craft shop and bought some of the stuff we used in the boyscouts to make "stuff" with and walla this is the result.
I thick CA'd the wire into some 4-40 Sullivan clevises and made the wires a bit short and stretched into place and it worked great.

Default Boy Scouts, summer camp?

Are you talking about "boondoggle" or is that the technique used for making "stuff" like key fobs out of this stuff?
This is a plastic lace material right?

Yes it is the Lace material we used for key chains and belts.
Clear plastic with a strip of metal in the center.

I saw this article in MAN and was very interested by it. I found the exact same plastic that you showed in the picture and didn't like that it had the clear plastic showing. I'm lookin for a solid silver or gray.
