Default swingin wings...

A thought just crossed my mind, where are the swing wing aircraft? the f14s and b1b bombers, is no one going to attempt them?? I was just thinking that those two would make really cool flying rc models especially when everone sees the wings swing open.

There was at least one swing jet kitted. Sorry, I can't remember who did. Maybe Century?

After thinking for awhile (it takes me a long time). It may have been Byron which is now Iron Bay that made a swing wing F15.

The F-14 has been kitted by several manufacturers. Yellow Aircraft & DCU are a couple that come to mind. There is a very large one being kitted in Germany (for twin turbines) and Jet Hanger Hobbies does a small electric one. You can also get F-14 plans designed by Philip Avonds in Belgium.

Check out this thread:

There was a British Tornado kitted at one time but I don't remember who kitted it.

The B-1 has not been kitted, to my knowledge. There have been recurring rumors of a possible kit in the future.

BTW... F-15 has fixed wings......no swinging there.

The F-111 would be another good swingwing project.

Good Luck.

the tornado would be cool, and for scale you could put the top mounted side winders. and if any one tried to say "a plane isn't suposed to look like that" I can say its scale so ha!

Thanks Gary, it was Yellow Aircraft's F-14 I was thinking of. I seen it at Toledo many years ago, and those sweeping wings were pretty cool.
