Default B-17 in Flight

Hi All, I took this pic of Mitch Epsteins beautiful B-17 "Nine 'O Nine" over the weekend at the WMWA Dino DiGiorgio Memorial Warbird Scale Classic in beautiful Gilbertsville, NY. It was a great event...Mitch's B-17 won the Pilot's Choice Award.
Happy flying,

Default B-17?

Rob/Pickupsticks,

Was Mitch's B-17 purchased from a Sarasota, Fl. builder/flier? She looks awfully familiar.

Did you find your Meister 109 yet?

OMG Mc F'n B ! Just outstanding. Who shot that.
Now that, my friends, is a jet! And it sounds as good as it looks.
When this sucker fires up and starts to roll, the excitement is like...oh man!

FYI, Joe just recently won the SoCal Scale Masters qualifier at El Toro with this beautiful Y/A twin F/A-18 Hornet, and will be competing in the Championships in Oct. Are you feelin' it?

Default FLICKA5

Yep that is a REAL Model and not a full scale plane. McB is a local pilot and that jet ahs been around for a couple of years. Heck that was his second jet he purchased if I am not mistaken. Let's see if we can make him cry. First he had the CAI Razor or raptor what ever plane that was from CAI, then he bought this I beleive from Joe Grice and then his Hot Spot, so maybe it's been three or four years with this plane. Terry Nitch test flew it a Superman Man at couple of years ago, so that's how long it's been around. Did I bring back memories?

So, Joe McBride Congrats on the Scale Master

Default My 109

Hey guys,

Here is a shot of my 109. This is from one of our kits. It has a 100 inch wingspan, weighs 40 pounds and is a great flier. Thought I would black and white the photo since most shots of these models are seen that way.

Default Best Scale Photo

Hi Pat, Man that sure looks sweet! I really like the b&w makes it look right out of 1944! I hope to finally be painting my 109 within the next month...just can't make up my mind on a scheme. I'm leaning heavily on Alfred Grislawski's mount with the white rudder and victory markings. Whatever scheme she ends up in, I know that she'll look awesome...this is the ULTIMATE Me-109 kit!!!
Thanks for all of your efforts to make it available to us all.
Happy flying,
Rob Bailey / Pickupsticks

Rob,

Thanks for the nice comments but its easy to make a nice model when you begin with such an awesome subject (i.e. Willy Messerschmitt's 109). Let me know when you decide your scheme, I always love to see new versions.
