RE: Scale Photo
These are prime examples of what I was just talking about. The first 3 photos are great(Good angle, great detail of scale, great model). But shots 4 and 5 are at an angle that you would not view a real aircraft.
AGAIN... This is not about photos of scale models... It's about SCALE PHOTOS of scale models.

RE: Scale Photo
Yeah,
I'm glad though that he posted both the :Scale: and the Non Scale shots.
Other wise I would of been real angry than some one was posting real
full size aircraft. I thought sure that there was no way possible that the Huey
was a model. Even the gunners hands look real.
The one thing you might notice in the first few pictures though is the bullet belt looks
a little stiff.

RE: Scale Photo
Actually Elliot, I'm kinda glad you did . It provided a great example of the kind of shots we're looking for (and not).
That is one awesome model!
Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, Great Job.
You had me fooled BIG TIME until I saw the last two pictures.
I bet there isn't a single person who can beet the Huey picture.

RE: <span class=
Hi Runover,
it took me about half a year to finsih it. I am currently building a 2.30m MIL MI HIND 24 D with all scale details. I will post some pics, when it will be finshed.
Thanks for the compliments...
Elliot

Has anyone seen the CH 53 that was in the Helicopter magazine a few months back? This gentleman had some incredible detail in that machine. It was in the May issue of Model Helicopter World magazine.

RE: another of my Dr1
I´m not able to add the pics to the post, but you can see them at htp://tatolazo.tripod.cl/tatmodelismo at "construccion escala" section and then tell me what you think about that piper pawnee ( 70" wingspan and powered with a very old OS 60 MACXblack head, spinning a 11x7.75 kavan prop) no more than 9 pounds of weight, finished in silkspan and acrylic laquer.
Thanks
Thanks

RE: Best scale photo!
Here is my Quarter Scale Grumman Widgeon, in two different paint schemes.
Elliot, another great pic, loose a tiny it of the bottom of the pic ( the strip also in focus giving away the true scale ) if it was just a bit of the field, then the treeline and industrial stuff it would be perfect
great pics

Yep, it's real...a real model, of course. You need to dig a little deeper into the thread where you'll find several pictures of the "whole" thing.
Or you can check it out at http://home.san.rr.com/aircor
Thanks for the compliment though,
Paul Reese

Paul Reese work
Paul is actually an alien... one of the Roswell survivors that the Air Force didn't catch, and although he won't admit it, he actually uses a "shrink ray" to reduce actual aircraft to model size. Normally, I'd consider that unfair, but I didn't see any rules here preventing the use of shrink rays, so I guess it's ok.

You know a thread is popular when you are "blessed" with the great Mike James pokin' his head in every once in a while.
Oh yeeaa, and by the way Mike, Roswell Schmozwell...it was only pieces of a weather balloon.

RE: Paul Reese work
Geez...
It's sincere admiration. I mostly make "big stuff", and sand it. You guys who are doing the incredible detail work on these models are building to the level that I aspire to. The photos here are really remarkable, and I'm always taking notes.
(and the "weather balloon" thing is just Paul's cover story)

RE: Scale Photo
Mustang51.......not to be rude........really i'm not trying to be........but I think that these models look pretty damn good to me. Sorry that I used those words, but the models are incredible. I mean, it is incredible that someone can make something that well. And for Elliot. WWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW[X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(] that is one incredible machine. I do agree that the last 2 pictures are not of which we would view a real Huey, but WOW........they are incredible. But, Elliot, if you come back to this forum....would you mind me asking you how much that heli was. I mean everything. Radio, turbine, fuselage, all the good stuff. Well, that was very good craftmanship.
