Hi all.
I´m building a oscure argentinian bomber called AeMB2 Bombi. Real thing was fabric finished and painted in silver all surfaces.
What kind of paint can I use for it if finish with dope (butirate ) and silkspan, to make it fuelproof ?
Look my project at

Daniel, I used silver butyrate dope for a base color on a project I'm working on and was very happy with the results. I sprayed it rather than brushing, just make sure to thin it with the proper thinner. Good luck with it.

Sig sells a silver butyrate dope in sizes from 4oz up to a quart. It is low shrinkage, which will be important on a .25 size model. Aerogloss tends to shrink so strongly that it can warp your framework, especially fuselage stringers.

My .25 size Bombi was a prototype, but big project is a 1/8 scale (2.15 m wingspan) using a Saito .80 4St.
Structure is very close to that of the real thing, mainly cause I was enough lucky to have photos of entire airframe uncovered !
Covering may be HEAVY silkspan or silk. Coverite is unavailable here, and even buying it by mail order can cause some trouble or delay when I need to repair it .
Thanks again
