Default covering question

I am in process of covering a plane with super coverite and am wondering if I need to fill the weave before I paint it. Also what is suggested as a good paint. I will be flying this plane on nitro not gas or electric.

It's not necessary to fill the weave on Coverite. The plastic adhesive serves that purpose as well as adhereing the fabric. You can use http://www.stits.com which will chemically bond to the fabric or use any catalyzed paint . If it's catalyzed it will adhere to anything.

I've been using Rust-o-leum over Coverite, Solartex, etc., for many years with much success. It needs to cure about a week before exposing it to glow fuel. Good luck.
