Since I brought it up previously and some here may be interested here is a couple of photos on my pull-pull solution. This is the third iteration so I guess the third try really is the charm. I held it in a clamp to make it easier to photograph. The rudder bellcrank is on the bottom and now sits on the center line of the fuselage. The bellcrank for the elevator is in alignment with the horn on the elevator located on the right side. the first photo shows the actual orientation within the fuselage if you were looking from the right side. The last two photos show a previous iteration sitting in the fuselage.

That's a good looking triplane frame. It looks like you have a well engineered pull-pull system.

Thanks Matt! It took 3 tries to get it right. The beams it sandwiches on each side run all the way to the firewall which is probably overkill but does add a little weight in the nose for a pug nosed airplane. Next I want to do the cable exits in the rear. The top elevator cable will need to pass tru the horizontal stab so I want to try to make it as neat as possible and still leave the surface removable. The ball links allow me to adjust each cable and the pushrods will have ball links at both ends to add additional adjustment. I like ball links because it helps to eliminate the chance of any binding while still keeping the controls free of slop. The nuts holding the shaft of the balls will have epoxy applied over them to prevent them from releasing.

Hello my friends.

Finally, last Sunday, I made the maiden of my VK Nieuport 17C. I admit I was a little apprehensive; however, it was the easiest maiden I have ever made. The plane took off as smoothie as possible, half throttle, no turning tendencies, perfect balanced. No nose weight was added in the building, so the plane is really light. There was also no wind during the flight, what made things easier. The only issue, if I can call it that, is that when I give it power, it climbs too much, despite de negative incidence of the engine. With half throttle it is a breeze. The OS55AX is really too much for this plane.

Well, it couldnīt be better. Thank you all for the shared information, and special regards to Rowarrior. It was his youtube video what made me embrace this project.

Mine is not that good, but I hope you enjoy.

Congrats on a successful Maiden. Not surprising that it climbs during full throttle. Most WWI planes.. model or full size do that.

Hello Leo! thats great to see!! loved it!!!

so now what? bring your plane and lets go flying together!!!!

I think you did a great job on the build, mine was not quite as perfectly adjusted from the beginning!! i had to tinker with it quite a bit.

right now its -20C here...i wish i was in Brazil where its warm and can do flying. I also fly real gliders when i cant fly RC
