I'm not sure of the motor, it was given to me from a crashed RC airplane... funny how I used it in a boat :-)

Hi
The reason I asked about the motor is that I don't know what mine is either,I got it from a guy at work He think's it's from a printer bit is'nt sure.
People give me motor's all the time,I once came back from lunch to find half the insides of a vending machine beside my work bench,Got 8 motor's,gears, pulley's and a belt drive from that.
Anyway once again nice boat.

Thank you once more..

I was wondering if anybody has tried to use the stock props that came with the kit?

If not what did you use?

Hi
I can see the torque problem from your picture's,If you are using the kit prop's It's probably from the severe pitch on the blade's.
Here's some picture's of the prop I was telling you about, the one on the boat I had to blow up about 300% so you can see it, so it's not that good

I never used those but I wonder if it's possible that I can...and use a twin engine/twin prop setup...

my prop came off an old Battleship kit that was the right size.

Hi Mark
The prop's just over 3/4 of an inch in diameter and come in left and right hand so unless what your using is really small they should fit.
I'm using just the one motor and prop on 4.8 volts and the boat run along at scale speed,When I built the boat I put it in a wall paper tray to check for leak's and adjust the ballast well that went well so I turned it on and ran the motor, at full throttle it tried to climb out of the wall paper tray and sprayed water all over the kitchen. I was impressed and my wife was realllly impressed!
