Default casting

I will have to make some rudders for a hovercraft soon instead of carving them out of balsa i thought about carving one out of any timber getting some moddeling clay molding it to the shape of half of the rudder putting some cling flim into the mold then pouring someting into the mold but i am not sure what as it will need to hard yet enable me to cut it with a pull saw any ideas lads this is what i need to make

A bit too much really as it will be cut up eventually i was think about plaster of paris or something similar poured into the mold anouther one done for the opposite side ang gule them to gether
