Default Hovercraft ramp

hello
I a, currently building an SRn6 MK5 landing hovercraft wiht a ramp at the front the plan is to use a small motor to mover the ramp up and down but i will need a gear box to slow the motor down any thought on what type as this is a new area for me

You can use a servo with the potentiometer disconnected & left centered. Then use it as a variable speed motor .

I have modified a channel in a transmitter by puttin a 5K ohm resistor in each lead of the channels potentiometer to furthur reduce the low speeds of the servo motor. You can also put resistors in the leads of the servo motor to slow it down.
Think about it. The lights will come on for you.
