Default Walmart Sub Again!

Hey all,

I'm new here, just bought the WALMART USS DALLAS on the suggestion of a modeling buddy of mine.

Neat toy, I have a HUGE pool here in FLA, and I plan on doing some of the upgrades.

FIRST A QUESTION: When the sub runs in reverse, is the prop supposed to "pulse" like it does, instead of the prop spinning wide open as it does when in forward?

Also, has everyone else had a helluva time trying to find the right balance for this thing at rest when using the weights?

Any answers would be appreciated.

Thanks

Capt. Ron

I found the balance pretty easily as long as the water level resting is somwhere on the conning tower it seems to work fine. It works best if its' kinda nose heavy or you angle the front hydroplanes? down a bit. The motor pulse thing when going backward is normal it works better if you pulse the reverse motor yourself quickly.

one of the subs i had (chicago) did not pulse in reverse or at any other time. the dallas i have does pulse in reverse, and when diving, the motor pulses forward.

Thanks for the quick reponse.

Yeah, that's about the way I have mine set up. A bit nose heavy, and the conning tower is mostly submerged.

Now I'm gettin ready for Hurricane Charley!

15 Minutes ago, I heard on the news that Merritt Island should evacuate!

A little late for that! There really is no where ta go!

Guess I'm hidin in the closet.

Cheers

Petn7, the early model transmitters didn't do this the more new ones do i think they changed the same time the rear fins and motor ducts changed.
